Kaitlyn N. Carter is a PhD student in History at Queen's University. She holds a master's degree in History from Western University (2021), and a bachelor's degree with First Class Status in History and Medieval and Renaissance Studies from Brock University (2020). Her research interests include the history of emotion, masculinity, militarism, and nationalism in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. She has experience in archival work, historical interpretation, and not-for-profit community heritage. She embraces an approach to history that personalizes the past, and sees continuity through recognizing the agency and humanity of historical figures.
